Departure Procedures

In order to facilitate readers in completing the process of returning their borrowing card and leaving the university smoothly, the library provides the following important notices:

1. Before leaving the university (including graduation, job transfer, suspension of studies, withdrawal, resignation, completion of continuing education, etc.), readers must return all borrowed books and settle any outstanding fees. In case of lost books, compensation must be made according to the regulations before departure procedures can be completed.

2. If a reader fails to follow the regulations and complete the book return and library card cancellation procedures at the library, the responsible department or guarantor must recover the borrowed books or take on the compensation responsibility.

3. Before returning the library card, readers should carefully check their borrowing status. If there are any books not returned, they must be returned first; if there are overdue fees, they must be paid in full; if there are any violations, they must be resolved.

4. Doctoral students, master's students, and 8-year program graduates must submit an electronic version of their thesis before proceeding with the borrowing card cancellation. The card cancellation can only be processed after the thesis has been approved.

5. After fulfilling the above requirements, graduate students and undergraduate students during the graduation season should cancel their borrowing cards through their respective schools. Readers who do not have any overdue books, fees, or violations do not need to visit the library in person. For other times, individuals should go to the first-floor consultation desk of the library.
