To meet campus demand for similarity checking, the Library has offered the VIP Plagiarism Checking System (VPCS) since 16 March 2013. Please sign in to the Library’s “Novelty & Similarity Check / Indexing & Citation Verification” system (http://ckzx.smu.edu.cn/), select Similarity Check, complete the online form, and upload the manuscript in Word format. After uploading, pay the fee immediately and upload a screenshot of the payment confirmation.
Note: The report is for reference only and the service currently supports Chinese-language papers.

General papers: 30 yuan

Undergraduate theses: 30 yuan

Graduate theses: 60 yuan

About the VIP Plagiarism Checking System (VPCS)

VPCS (http://vpcs.cqvip.com) employs large-scale semantic cross-domain matching combined with fingerprint comparison and cloud-based deployment to detect plagiarism and improper citation. Major functions include checks against published literature, manuscript similarity checking, and management of custom comparison repositories. The system generates detailed reports (PDF or web view) highlighting matched sources and providing visual summaries, including overall similarity, proportion of properly cited content, duplication rate, and original-writing rate, along with source lists and excerpts. It is widely used by educational and research organizations for assessing originality.
