ChinaXiv is a preprint communication platform launched in 2016 by the National Science Library of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) under the guidance of CAS and with support from the Bureau of Science Communication. Operated in line with international norms, it aims to provide a scholar-led, public-interest, efficient, and open channel for scholarly exchange. As a national-level preprint infrastructure, ChinaXiv supports domestic and international academic communities in building new forms of scholarly communication, helps research institutions develop open-science infrastructure in their fields, and assists traditional STM journals in transitioning toward open-science service models.
