Cambridge University Press, a non-profit organization affiliated with the University of Cambridge, was founded in 1534. It is one of the world's oldest and largest academic presses, dedicated to unlocking people's potential by delivering the best learning and research solutions and advancing global education and scholarship. In 2018, Cambridge published a total of 388 journals, of which 283 (approximately 72.42%) were indexed in SCI, SSCI, or AHCI. According to the 2016 Journal Citation Report (Clarivate Analytics, 2017), 35 Cambridge journals ranked within the top 10 of their respective subject categories, with 17 ranking in the top 5. The journal portfolio covers a broad range of disciplines in a roughly 6:4 ratio of sciences to arts and humanities, spanning natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences.

The Cambridge Journals Online - Medicine Collection is a full-text, current journal database in English. The Medicine Collection includes 75 journals, 51 of which (66.2%) are indexed in SCI, SSCI, or AHCI. It features particular strengths in anesthesiology, neurology, nutrition, infectious diseases, and clinical medicine. In the 2016 JCR, Behavioral & Brain Sciences ranked #1 in the Behavioral Biology category. Journals such as Microscopy and Microanalysis, Nutrition Research Reviews, Quarterly Reviews of Biophysics, and the newly included British Journal of Psychiatry ranked within the top 10 of their respective categories. In neurology and psychiatry, Cambridge publishes leading titles including Behavioral & Brain Sciences, British Journal of Psychiatry, and Psychological Medicine. In nutrition, essential resources include Proceedings of the Nutrition Society and British Journal of Nutrition.
