Access Range: Unrestricted

Access Address: Online Access

In May 2009, the United States established Data.gov as its unified national open data platform. As of August 2023, the platform integrates 236,433 datasets from federal, state, and municipal governments. These datasets are organized into 24 thematic categories, including Human Health, Transportation, Ecosystem Vulnerability, and Food Security.

In the field of human health, the platform provides extensive datasets related to health and diseases from various administrative levels, such as the U.S. Chronic Disease Indicators (CDI) dataset. Compiled by the CDC using standardized methods, the CDI dataset includes 124 chronic disease indicators collected and reported from all states, key regions, and major metropolitan areas across the United States.

Data.gov supports keyword search and thematic browsing. For each dataset, the website offers raw data downloads and browsing in multiple formats, including CSV, RDF, JSON, and XML.
