The United Kingdom's official open data portal, data.gov.uk, was launched in 2010 as the national platform for government-published data. It covers 12 thematic areas including environment, mapping, towns and cities, crime and justice, government, health, and education. As of July 2023, the platform provides access to over 55,000 datasets.

Within the health domain, it offers more than 1,800 datasets, including statistics on obesity, physical activity, and diet in the UK, as well as survey data on the health and health-related behaviors of children and adults.

data.gov.uk supports keyword search and thematic browsing. Users can view data online in HTML format or download content in PDF format.
