Shidian Guji is a platform for reading and organizing classical literature, jointly developed by the Center for Digital Humanities at Peking University and ByteDance Ltd. It is dedicated to providing users with free, open, stable, fast, and convenient services for searching and reading ancient texts.

The platform offers a vast collection of classical literature resources for enthusiasts and scholars, including works from the Confucian Classics, Historical Records, Philosophical Writings, Literary Collections, Taoist Scriptures, Buddhist Sutras, and more. It covers a rich array of content such as Confucian classics, Taoist texts, and literary masterpieces, meeting diverse needs for reading and research in classical literature while contributing to the preservation of Chinese cultural heritage.

Its powerful search and organization features support full‑text retrieval, search by title, and other advanced search methods. The platform also includes an AI assistant for classical texts, allowing users to input questions related to the content—such as requesting a summary of main ideas or posing research questions—for intelligent assistance.
