The database provides 12 core functions, including nutrient evaluation, dietary assessment, chronic disease management, and food-related nutrient information queries, aiming to deliver comprehensive data support for health research and practice.

The Yuyaoyuan database aligns closely with courses such as Rehabilitation Therapy, Health Services and Management, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Pharmacy, Clinical Medicine, Nursing, and Preventive Medicine, serving as a powerful teaching and learning tool to enrich course content and broaden academic perspectives.
