The China Social Science Library integrates the latest academic publications from China Social Sciences Press. It encompasses collections of works by members of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, selected works of distinguished scholars, the Cambridge History series, the China Social Sciences Doctoral Dissertation Library, the Postdoctoral Research Library, along with various works, series, collections, reports, and textbooks in philosophy and social sciences. The database includes over 6,000 titles stemming from key projects of the National Social Science Fund, later support projects, key achievements in humanities and social sciences from the Ministry of Education, and outcomes of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences' Innovation Project.

The library comprises ten major sub-databases:

1. Think Tank: A database of achievements from high-level Chinese think tanks.

2. Party Building and Ideological-Political Education Resources.

3. Philosophy and Religion Academic Resources.

4. Educational Research Academic Resources.

5. Economics and Management Academic Resources.

6. Literature and Arts Academic Resources.

7. Marxist Theory Resources.

8. History and Archaeology Academic Resources.

9. International Relations Academic Resources.

10. Ethnic and Borderland Studies.

 

It contains over 26,000 social sciences books, approximately 1 million knowledge point entries, more than 1.8 million images and charts, and tens of thousands of viewpoint articles from authoritative institutions.

Content covers key disciplines in philosophy and social sciences, including Marxist Theory, Philosophy & Religion, History & Archaeology, Literature & Arts, Population & Society, Borderland & Ethnic Studies, Political Science & Law, Economics & Management, and Education & Communication. The vast majority are books published within the last ten years, with a minimum annual update of 1,500 new titles.

2. Simultaneous Print & Electronic Publication:

Building on traditional publishing, China Social Sciences Press continuously pursues digital transformation, applying technological innovation to traditional workflows to meet evolving market demands. The current rate of simultaneous print and electronic publication exceeds 85%.

3. Academic Authority:

Content is derived from academic research achievements of renowned institutions such as the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, and the Party School of the Central Committee. Over 2,000 titles are projects supported by programs like the CASS Innovation Project, the National Social Science Fund, and the MOE Humanities and Social Sciences Research Outstanding Achievements Fund, largely reflecting the current state and level of philosophical and social sciences research in China.
